Parts Advisor

Bel-Air Toyota is currently seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team of customer focused professionals within our high volume and process-driven dealership.

Purpose/Summary of Position:

The Parts Advisor assists internal and external customers with parts requests to ensure that the correct part is obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part.  The Parts Advisor also assists in the operations of the Parts Departments by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory and accessories. Assists in receiving and stocking parts orders, records and monitors backorders, uses DMS to look up and monitor parts requests, recording parts disbursed per repair order. Maintains proper filing system for all paperwork corresponding to repair orders, special orders and back order.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist customers and service technicians in identifying required parts and accessories.
  • Provide accurate information regarding parts availability, pricing, and delivery times.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of automotive parts and accessories.
  • Process orders and manage inventory using our parts management software.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to parts orders.
  • Ensure all parts are correctly labeled and stored in their designated locations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluent in French and English is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an automotive parts department or related role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts and accessories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills
