Non Prime Finance Manager

400 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Ltd is currently seeking a Full-Time Non Prime Finance Manager to join our leadership team of customer focused professionals within our high volume and process-driven dealership.


Overview

The Automotive NonPrime Finance Manager leads the dealership’s subprime and nearprime finance operations, helping creditchallenged customers secure vehicle financing while maximizing profitability and ensuring full compliance with lender and regulatory requirements. This role combines deep lender relationship management, strong dealstructuring expertise, and the ability to coach sales teams on effective nonprime processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

🔧 Deal Structuring & Approval Management

•             Evaluate credit applications, credit bureau reports, and supporting documents to determine the best lender fit for each customer.

•             Structure nonprime and nearprime deals to meet lender guidelines while optimizing gross profit and approval likelihood.

•             Submit, track, and negotiate deals with nonprime lenders to secure approvals and competitive terms.

•             Identify opportunities to improve deal quality, documentation accuracy, and funding speed.

🤝 Lender & Partner Relationship Management

•             Maintain strong working relationships with all nonprime lending partners.

•             Stay current on lender programs, rate changes, stipulation requirements, and approval trends.

•             Advocate for the dealership’s deals and customers to maximize approvals and funding efficiency.

📈 Performance & Profitability

•             Achieve monthly targets for approvals, funded deals, backend product penetration, and overall department gross.

•             Monitor key KPIs such as approval ratios, funding times, chargebacks, and product performance.

•             Develop strategies to increase nonprime sales volume and improve customer retention.

🧭 Compliance & Documentation

•             Ensure all deals meet provincial and federal regulatory requirements, including privacy, disclosure, and lending laws.

•             Oversee accurate completion of all finance documents, contracts, and lender stipulations.

•             Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies, ethical standards, and compliance protocols.

👥 Team Leadership & Collaboration

•             Train and support sales staff on nonprime processes, documentation, and customer qualification.

•             Work closely with sales managers to structure deals early and improve workflow efficiency.

•             Provide coaching on credit-building strategies and customer communication best practices.

 

Qualifications

•             3–5+ years of automotive finance experience, with at least 2 years in nonprime or special finance.

•             Strong understanding of credit bureaus, lender guidelines, and dealstructuring strategies.

•             Proven track record of achieving finance department targets in a dealership environment.

•             Excellent negotiation, communication, and customerservice skills.

•             High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

•             Knowledge of provincial automotive regulations and compliance requirements.

•             Experience with dealership CRM and DMS systems.
