Jr. Accounting Administrator - Maternity Leave contract
Guelph Toyota is currently seeking a Junior Accounting Administrator to join our team of customer focused professional within our high volume and process driven dealership. This role will be a maternity leave contract for at least 6 months with the potential of an extension.
Purpose/Summary of Position
This role is responsible for administration and assisting the Financial Controller of the dealership with various accounting/administrative functions and deadline attainment, following established processes and procedures for their role and achieving targeted goals and objectives. This role is responsible for ongoing collaboration with fellow team members and improving efficiencies whenever possible.

Key Accountabilities & Objectives
• Accounts payable and receivable assistance
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Filing invoices and paperwork as required and assigned
• Maintaining and ordering supplies, including office supplies and business cards
• Preparing vehicle deal files and funding packages
• Chatteling used vehicles and maintaining vehicle floorplan
• Assistance with processing vehicle deals
• Maintaining and updating garage register
• Actively communicates and collaborates with Managers and accounting team
• Completes administrative functions and is cross trained in various admin/accounting functions assist fellow department team members when required and as business needs arise
• Provide feedback to management and maintain open communication on concerns, suggestions, requirements etc.
• Actively communicates and collaborates with Financial Controller to ensure vendors are complying with established payment intervals and implementing interest charges as directed
• Completes administrative functions and is cross trained in the inventory stock in process; dealer trade coordination, receptionist etc. order to assist fellow department team members when required and as business needs arise
• Provide feedback to management and maintain open communication on concerns, suggestions, requirements etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by management
Special Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Post Secondary Education in Accounting & Administration preferred
- Previous accounting experience in a dealership accounting environment preferred
